The Jane Austen Book Club

I watched the Jane Austen book club tonight. I really enjoyed the movie. Of course, it helps to be a Jane Austen fan. I enjoyed watching the characters resolve their personal conflicts as they read and discussed the characters in the books. And I enjoyed watching them become friends over the bond of good books.

Retail Therapy

I'm not a shopoholic. I really don't like shopping all that much. Too many choices. And I don't really have the knack for shopping. Some can walk into discount places and come away with a great outfit on a dime. Not me. But I popped in Steinmart tonight while Ken was exchanging something at a nearby store. I found a couple of things. Ken ended up coming in the store. It turned out to be one of those nights where everything was on sale and lots of things fit. There was hardly anyone in the store, but there was a lovely saleslady in the dressing room area that kept bringing me things - have you seen this? And do you like this? And this is on sale. It turned into a fun evening where I got a few great outfits for bargain prices. And since there was a chair in the area by the dressing rooms, Ken enjoyed sitting there, chatting with the sales lady and agreeing or disagreeing on the clothes. So a good time was had by all.

The Daily Buck

Let's share our favorite deals here. How do you save money? What's your best deal? Once, I joined a friend for dinner. She unexpectedly picked up the tab. A free meal with a good friend! And on the way home, I stopped off at the grocery store. I chose a candy bar on sale; however, it rang up not on sale. Seems the price tag was wrong. So I got the candy bar for free. A free meal and a free candy bar! How about that!
